The first pin I found was for a "Diy Doggie Summer Cool-Off Pad Tutorial". If you're only going to check out one link in this blog post make sure its this one! Seriously! It is such a cool idea and project. Craft stores like Jo Ann Fabric and Craft Store sell pre-cut large pieces of felt that are perfect for the project and Wal-Mart usually sells the gel ice packs needed to complete the project in bulk.
If you're wanting a more portable cool-down solution for you fur baby check out the "Cooling Coat" and the "Doggy Cooling Vest/Backpack" made from a pair of Cargo Pants! If you're like me and doubting that you have the skills to DIY a cooling coat or vest, you can purchase them online. Several companies make them including Ruffwear and Canine Company.
One of the yummiest ways to keep your fur babies cool this summer is with frozen treats! There are so many different recipes for pupsicles, frosty paws, and more! You can even freeze treats and toys inside of large pupsicles to really give your fur babies a good time.
If you're really feeling adventurous and wanting to spoil your fur baby you could always build them their own "Pallet Doggy Pool Area". I was so excited to come across this pin! I can't wait until we have a backyard and I can build something like this for Lilly Bug.
I hope these help keep your fur babies cool this summer! If you have any ideas for cooling down your pups that you would like to share on the blog feel free to send me a message. Have a great week!
Love, Lilly Bug
